Title: Job Placement Coordinator

Education: Finishing my Social Worker Diploma

Program responsibilities: I work with both youth and employers. With youth I help them build resumes, cover letters, and career planning/advising. I meet with employers to discuss what they look for in employees and to inform them about the Youth Works! program.

First job I ever had: I was a clown who entertained at birthday parties and delivered balloons

Top tip for youth searching for a job: A positive attitude and a smile are the best way to a great first impression

What I thought I would be when I grew up: As a child I wanted to be a veterinarian and run a panda bear sanctuary

Top tip for career decision making: Make sure your career choice is something you are passionate about, or it will never be more than a job

A job that I would love to “test drive” would be…..travel show host; having someone pay me to experience other cultures would be awesone!

One “thing” I am most proud of is……I am most proud when I am able to  speak out against social injustice

One thing most people don’t know about me……. I am absolutely terrified of birds that can run fast.....especially chicken!

Things I like to do in my spare time are: I am a huge WWE fan, so I spend most Monday and Friday nights watching RAW and Smack down
