About Me
I grew up right here in Medicine Hat and have continued to enjoy the city all through my years. Comparing me now and then, most would be surprised to find I wasn't all that active as a child. TV and board games were my thing as being active just seemed like too much effort. After I graduated high school, I came to the crossroads of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life. I muddled around in a few different things at the local college but nothing seemed to stick. At the same time, I started volunteering some of my time at this YMCA and took on a regular exercise routine figuring I could at least keep myself in average health. As I got involved with the fitness programs and my own workouts, I was hooked, this is what I wanted to do. So, seven years later here I am, right back where I started and thrilled to be here. I've learned much since then with the Y as a great foundation to build on and I hope to be able to give back to the organization that has given me so much.
I completed my university degree at the University of Lethbridge majoring in Kinesiology. As an exercise specialist my primary areas of interest are high performance and exercise physiology; although I enjoy working with individuals of all fitness backgrounds and goals. In my personal time I enjoy training for triathlons, playing golf, jamming on the guitar and music of all kinds.

About Me
I was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba and have always had a love for sports and wellness. I grew up playing soccer, volleyball and basketball, and running cross-country and track. My desire to share the benefits of an active lifestyle led me to become a certified group fitness instructor through the BC Parks and Recreation Association, and a YMCA Individual Conditioning Coach. I enjoy working with individuals to achieve their personal wellness goals and have a love for the YMCA and its mission and values. I have worked as a volunteer, staff member, and trainer of trainers at the Kelowna Family YMCA-YWCA and am excited to be a part of the Medicine Hat YMCA community!
In my free time I enjoy skiing, golfing, hiking, travelling, and canoeing and have lived and played in Canmore, Alberta and Kelowna, BC prior to coming to Medicine Hat.
