About YMCA Camp Elkwater
The Family YMCA of Medicine Hat acquired YMCA Camp Elkwater in the spring of 2006. This beautiful camp is nestled in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park near the town of Elkwater, AB, approximately 45 minutes from Medicine Hat. The unique setting of the camp allows resident campers to explore the lake, forests and natural ecosystems that make up the unique and diverse Cypress Hills.
The Family YMCA of Medicine Hat is dedicated to creating a life-long passion for outdoor activities and adventure for all campers attending YMCA Camp Elkwater. The environment allows for all campers to make the best of their week participating in outdoor adventures, water sports, hiking, educational activities and fun camp experiences.
All of the weeks at YMCA Camp Elkwater include a variety of water based and land based activities.

Cost
Register for all 4 weeks and receive 15% off.
Register for 2 weeks in one month and receive 10% off.
All campers will receive a YMCA Camp Elkwater Water Bottle on their first day of camp!

The kids are to be dropped off at the Dowtown YMCA Sunday no later than 5:45pm.
(Ensure your child has had supper, there will only be a snack served Sunday night before bed)
Children are to be picked up at the Downtown YMCA Friday Evening at 5:00 p.m.
Payment
Full payment at the time of registration is required. Your child will not be registered or be able to attend camp until the payment is made.
Refunds and Cancellations
It is the policy of the Medicine Hat Family YMCA that refunds are not given unless:
- There is a medical or physical reason and note from a doctor that states why the child cannot attend day camp for the specified dates.
- You are moving to another city (proof must be presented)
Refunds or credits will not be issued in instances where the camper is removed from the camp program by choice or request of the camper or camper's parent(s)/guardian(s) or is dismissed from camp for contravention of camp guidelines or the camp code of conduct for behaviour. There will be a $10.00 non-refundable administration charge to all camp refunds.
A photocopy of the original receipt and doctors note must accompany the application for refund.
There may be certain special circumstances where Credits are given, however they must be approved by the YMCA Camp Director.
